Landlord Registration
From 30 April 2006, all private landlords letting properties in Scotland have been required to apply for registration in the register of landlords. The aim of landlord registration is to ensure that all private landlords in Scotland are ‘fit and proper’ to be letting residential property.
To check to see if your landlord or the property that they are advertising for rent is registered go to www.landlordregistrationscotland.gov.uk
