Rent on Time: How much does it cost?
Landlords
Set up costs of £75+VAT per property plus 6% of monthly rent plus VAT. There are no other charges.
The set up costs are taken from the first months rent.
For example:
Based on a rent of £500 per month. There would be a set up cost of £75 plus VAT. This is taken from the first month's rent.
Then a monthly charge of just £30 plus VAT for each month, including the first month, would be deducted from the monthly rent before it is paid into your bank account.
These costs include credit referencing the tenant, setting up the Assured Shorthold Tenancy, handling the deposit, guaranteeing that the rent is paid into your bank account every month even if the tenant defaults and legal action to evict the tenant up to a maximum of £25,000.
