Your landlord could end up having to pay you thousands of pounds if they didn’t protect your deposit.
When you move into a rented property, your landlord must put your deposit into a tenancy deposit protection (TDP) scheme within 30 days of you sending the cash.

Your cash must be placed in one if you’re signed up to an assured shorthold tenancy that started after April 6, 2007.
