A recent poll in the Telegraph newspaper showed that 84.63% would choose to advertise their property for sale or to let on Rightmove and Zoopla.
It’s not surprising when you realise the number of visitors these two property websites get. Rightmove now gets over 100 million visitors a month, whilst Zoopla gets over 50 million visitors a month. That’s more than 150 million visitors every month on just these two websites.
The problem for people looking to sell or let their property is that only estate or letting agents can advertise on these two websites. Ordinary vendors or landlords cannot advertise their property directly onto Rightmove and Zoopla.
The past few years has seen a growth in the number of online agents who can provide advertising on portals like Rightmove and Zoopla, often at significantly less cost than traditional high street agents. The savings for vendors and landlords can be huge, often running into thousands of pounds.
