Second home owner’s legal bid to overturn North Wales council’s ‘anti-English’ tax rise

A second home owner is crowdfunding a legal challenge to a North Wales’ council’s “anti-English” decision to double the council tax premium on holiday properties.

Anthony Chancellor claims Gwynedd Council’s decision to double the premium from 50% to 100% means that many will face having to pay around £3,600 a year in tax alone for a two bed property.
