Bournemouth in Dorset is the most in-demand UK coastal spot for buyers, new data from Rightmove has found.
Looking to buy a beach property? After analysing pricing data points, levels of demand, and activity in coastal locations compared with 2020, Rightmove discovered that the coastal town is continuing to surge in popularity. It might be famed for its golden stretch of sand, but houses here now have an average asking price of £317,449 — up four per cent from last year.
Southampton came in second place, while buzzy Brighton and Blackpool took third and fourth spots, respectively. While the demand for coastal homes has doubled since the start of the pandemic, average asking prices across the top 10 towns rose by six per cent this year alone – just ahead of the national average rise of five per cent.
