St Ives in Cornwall is the happiest place to live in Great Britain, according to Rightmove’s 2022 Happy at Home Index.
The coastal town, famous for its award-winning beaches and thriving art scene, has taken the crown back from Hexham in Northumberland.
Over 21,000 people were surveyed for the study, which asked residents to rank 10 happiness factors, including how much they feel a sense of belonging to their area, and whether there is access to green space. St Ives scored highly for its community spirit, sense of belonging, and how comfortable residents feel to be themselves.
