NetRent’s new Property for Sale service launches on 1 September 2026, and we are now inviting landlords and agents to register their interest ahead of launch.
The service is designed specifically for the rental property market and gives sellers an additional way to reach people who already understand buy-to-let and property investment.
For landlords and agents, the service will be completely free to use.
More Than Just Another Property Listing
One of the main advantages of advertising through NetRent is the audience behind the service.
Over the last 23 years, NetRent has built up a large database of landlords and agents. We also communicate regularly through our established social media channels on Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn.
That means Property for Sale is not simply a new page on a website. Suitable properties can be promoted to an existing audience of people with a direct interest in the rental sector.
For a landlord selling a tenanted property, a recently rented property or a home that could suit buy-to-let, that specialist audience could be particularly valuable.
Free Advertising Alongside Your Existing Agent or Portal
Property for Sale is not intended to replace traditional property portals such as Rightmove or Zoopla.
Because NetRent is not charging to advertise, there is no need for landlords or agents to choose one route or another.
A property can be marketed through NetRent at the same time as it is being advertised elsewhere.
If a landlord is already using an estate agent, the NetRent listing can simply direct all enquiries to that agent. The service therefore provides another opportunity for exposure without changing the seller’s existing arrangements.
What Can Be Advertised?
The service is intended for a broad range of rental and investment property, including:
- Properties being sold with sitting tenants
- Vacant rental properties
- Homes suitable for letting
- Individual properties
- Larger portfolios
- Properties being sold directly by landlords
- Properties already being marketed by estate or letting agents
This makes the service suitable for landlords who are selling one property, restructuring a portfolio or leaving the sector altogether, as well as agents acting for landlord clients.
Why Another Landlord Could Be the Right Buyer
Rental properties do not always appeal to the same buyers as owner-occupied homes.
A property with a sitting tenant, for example, may be especially attractive to another landlord looking for an investment that is already let.
Likewise, an empty property with a strong rental history or obvious letting potential may appeal to someone looking to expand an existing portfolio.
By promoting properties through NetRent’s established landlord network, sellers have another opportunity to reach buyers who may immediately recognise that investment potential.
No Advertising Fee and No Sales Commission
NetRent will not charge landlords or agents to advertise through Property for Sale.
There will be:
- No listing fee
- No sales commission payable to NetRent
- No charge for receiving enquiries
Prospective purchaser enquiries will be sent directly to the person advertising the property, whether that is the landlord or the appointed agent.
NetRent will not negotiate the transaction or act as an intermediary between buyer and seller.
Already Selling Through an Agent?
Landlords using an estate agent can still advertise their property through NetRent and direct every enquiry to their agent.
There is one practical point to check before uploading photographs.
Images used by an estate agent may have been produced by the agent or a professional photographer, and the landlord may not automatically own the copyright.
If you want to use those photographs on NetRent, check with your agent first and make sure you have permission to reproduce them.
Register Before the 1 September Launch
We are currently building interest ahead of the formal launch and want to start the service with a strong selection of properties.
If you are considering selling a rental property, or you are an agent with suitable properties to market, register your interest now.
There is no obligation to advertise and no charge to register.
